Job Description:

Job Summary :

Responsible for Procurement administration and order processing using ERP systems. Expediting materials from suppliers and ensure on-time delivery. Liaise with Account Department on payment matters.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works related with purchasing.

  2. Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties.

  3. Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers.

  4. Negotiate for the best purchasing package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers and contractors assigned.

  5. Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  6. Prepare & issue purchase orders in accordance to specifications and agreed terms and conditions.

  7. Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers (local or overseas).

  8. Coordination with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.

  9. Assist in managing and following up overseas orders.

  10. Handling and monitoring of claims to plants and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts.

  11. Liaise with Account Department on payment matters.

  12. Ensure applicable environmental and safety are communicated to the supplier.

  13. Qualification and performance evaluation of vendors.

  14. Perform other duties as assigned.


Educational :
  • DesiredGraduate, Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Engineering Diploma or Associate Engineering
Minimum Experience :
  • Minimum 5 Years
  • PreferableUp to 7 years Purchasing & Logistics with Power & Desalination Project background
Required Skills :
  1. Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
  2. Excellent inter personnel skills
  3. Must be a team player
  4. Good communication & negotiation skills
  5. Must be proactive
  6. Can work under pressure
  7. Multi-tasking
  8. Desired certification / Job specific skill / Training 
  9. Shall have Power & Desalination Plant Background
  10. Must be conversant with ERP system, especially SAP
  11. Valid KSA driving license will be an added advantage
Work Condition :
The job holder requires supporting all Power & Desalination Plants, scattered all around KSA, in terms of providing their chemicals, spare parts, consumables needs. The ultimate requirement of the job is to replenish the safety stock levels of all chemicals, spare parts, consumables etc on timely and proactive manner. The job also requires a very close coordination with the end users & with the suppliers / contractors.
