Job Description:

My client is joint venture of leading construction companies who are currently working on the Riyadh metro project in saudi arabia. They are currently looking to recruit an environmental engineer. The role will include the following;

  1. Lead implementation of environmental management system based on ISO 14001 principles

  2. Prepare and update the environmental and sustainability management plans, procedures and forms

  3. Ensure that the environmental and sustainability requirements set out by client are delivered 

  4. Ensure that the environmental and sustainability training program are developed and delivered 

  5. Develop and implement effective environmental and sustainability KPIs

  6. Monitor, inspect and audit the implementation of sub-contractors plans, procedures, method statements and registers

  7. Conduct regular site inspections and develop corrective action plans

  8. Report and coordinate the environmental incidents and complaints

  9. Monitor, report and coordinate the environmental issues between phases of project

  10. Ensure compliance with environmental legislations

  11. Analysis and report environmental aspects, impacts and risks


Candidates should have a degree in environmental engineering or environmental management and should have a minimum of 7 years experience of working as an environmental engineer on mega infrastructure construction projects and at least 3 years experience of working on rail projects. Candidates should have an in depth knowledge of international environmental standards, legislation and best practices and will preferably have Middle east experience.
